When a blessing turns to catastrophe.

This catastrophe is none other than the flood ravage at Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, where death toll crossed the 400. Hundreds of people have fallen prey to the merciless flood along with the continuous lashing rains. Due to such torrential rain all the communications have cut off and even Shahra-e-Korakarum has been closed for the traffic.

Flooded village

This could be tag as a deadly week of Pakistan as 2 days before a deadly incident happened at the hills near Islamabad, when a plane crashed loaded with 152 people and now the flood devastated many of the villages and people. Considering all the calamity and disaster our so called authorities have nothing to do but only some consoling speeches for the natives.

People trying to survive with their own efforts

Deprived people suffered from the calamity

In this regard, a read the statement of Mian Iftikhar Hussain, the information minister for Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa province, he said, “This is a natural calamity, and we will do whatever is possible to reach the flood-affected people and to help them. We appeal to the world community to help us. We need a lot of assistance.” What a Government, people are still dying with the flood and they have nothing for the deprived people. When they know about the forth coming calamities, why they don’t take precautions for the disaster and make their strategies organized.

A journey of fatality.

Yesterday was a gloomy day in the history of Pakistan, when a flight to Islamabad had crashed into a heavily wooded and hard-to-access hillside, while flying from Karachi. None of the passenger survived and all the 152 people passed on including 6 crew members.

The country mourns for them. The mystery behind the crash is still unveiled as the whole nation is probing to make out the grounds of the crash.

After every passenger there’s a story of his life and family. As there was a newlywed couple going for their honey moon, tied in the knot only three days before.

The story doesn’t end here there are many families left, mourning for their relatives. Many of the corpses are still unidentified due to their wretched condition. Every eye is shedding tear over this catastrophe and feeling so miserable for the relatives of the victims.

Spree of sadistic target-killing.

death toll rises to 22 in yesterday city riots

Again, the violence has enveloped the streets of Karachi; the politico-ethnic target killing claimed 22 lives. The riots have burst out in the various parts of the metropolis.

These incidents of target killing started late night Tuesday were continued Wednesday as 22 more people were gunned down in the city by unknown armed men. The target killing incidents occurred in Landhi, Korangi, North Nazimabad, Moosa Colony, Abul Hassan Isphahani Road, Model Colony, Orangi Town, Shah Faisal Colony, Saddar, Quaidabad and other areas. The incidents of target killings triggered related violence, which included the torching of buses, forceful closure of markets, the burning of roadside stalls as well as the targeting of police personnel. The entire city was in the grip of tension, with public transport disappearing from the roads by early evening, as reports of the violence began to spread.

The city is under great threat and bloodshed; such incidents are very much frequent in the streets of Karachi, as a couple of months before city was enduring the same scenario. And our so called government has become a silent spectator, feels their selves liberated after sharing some typical sentences of misery. What a government believes on sermons rather than actions.
